...that shortly after leaving the 'Brothers Gibb', he formed his own ';proto- metal'; band with two Aussies, and one Maori from New Zealand. Our mystery 'former Bee Gees' musician is Australian also. This band released one album in 1970.
Who is the former Bee Gee's musician?
What's the name of the band in question? What former Bee Gee's musician was so fascinated by Led Zeppelin and other hard rock acts of the late 60's...
That would be Vince Melouney (?),guitarist..the band was Sweet Fanny Addams,or S.F.A.,you can draw your own conclusion to that...They were basically Vince and the ex-members of Doug Parkinson's ';In Focus';,Doug had a massive set of lungs and still sings in the theatre ie musicals etc..the bassist and drummer were also exceptional musicians..Duncan MacGuire and Billy Green.Saw them once as a kid at a rock festival '71 at Wallacia when they came on as co-headliners at 8 A.M. Sunday morning...They thought they were tired! Saturday was the best though...Sirius..a jazz-rock ';refugee'; band from Hungary,Lotus,King Harvest,Carson County ,Daddy Cool, the La De Dahs,Country Radio,Spectrum,Wendy Saddington and Chain,Billy Thorpe %26amp; The Aztecs(with Lobby going ape all over 'God' and 'Something/Anything')..Great Night! Probably many others..anyway that's the biscuit. What former Bee Gee's musician was so fascinated by Led Zeppelin and other hard rock acts of the late 60's...
I don't know much about this guy's background, but it sounds like Vince Melouney, the guitarist for the BeeGee's first incarnation B.D. (Before Disco).
The name of Vince's band was Fanny Adams. I don't recall if one of the members was Maori.
Robin Gibbs left and released a solo album, Robin's Reign,
