I recently had open heart surgery... how long does the ';bee sting'; feeling at the chest incision last?

Well, I don't know about the new procedures but my dad was one of the first people who had an open heart bypass surgery about 35 years ago and he still has that feeling at his incisions. Hope yours won't last that long.





One more thing: my dad is a doctor and he says that how long the feeling will last could depend on each individual and their skin (how sensitive it is? formation of scar tissue,...)I recently had open heart surgery... how long does the ';bee sting'; feeling at the chest incision last?

After I had a double by-pass, the stinging lasted about a month. It does depend on the person though, and how fast they heal.
