Not likely, but if you have access to what looks like a mine North of Altamont, the viewing should be good if there are no night lights.
Another possibility is to find a campground or picnic area about halfway up Vasco Rd (about 10 miles from Livermore). The idea is to get away from light pollution and headlights of passing cars.
Plan your trip to arrive at 10 PM so you have plenty of time to get set up and allow your eyes to become dark-adjusted. If you take a flashlight along use a red lens or red plastic bag over the light so you can use it without destroying your night vision.
The Perseids should rise in the NE about 11 PM, and the shower should peak around 2 AM.
